In partnership with the Kalamazoo Valley Museum’s 2022 Kalamazoo Foodways Symposium, the Connecting Chords Music Festival will present musicians Rene Meave and Kris Paul from 11:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. outside the Food Innovation Center. Admission is free, come ready to celebrate!
Rene Meave was born and raised in Weslaco, Texas, and came to Michigan as a migrant farm-worker. He is a founding member of the Tex-Mex musical group Los Bandits de Michigan. He is an experienced song writer/entertainer who has been recognized by both the American Song Festival and the BMI Song Festival. Rene currently has songs signed with Sony ATV and Next Number One Publishing, both out of Nashville, Tennessee.
Singer-songwriter Kris Paul has been building reputation in West Michigan for his melancholic style of writing. He has released songs that are available in all media platforms working alongside producer Pavel Cal and singer-songwriter Tato Henriquez.
